Mickel has been with Lakeland for seven years. What he really likes best about his job here is the variety of work he is given to do. When not working, Mickel can be found with friends playing video games.

Dan joined the Lakeland Mills team in 2006 as a general laborer, but didn’t stay there long. He was moved to our finishing department and then to shipping. Today, Dan is now in our special projects department. One of his best attributes is his positive attitude. He says he likes working out all the challenges that come his way. When he is not working Dan likes hanging out with his family and going to his son’s wrestling practices or tournaments.
Maxine has been with us since 1997, and is currently the lead prep’r of our Finishing Department. She went to school for finishing furniture, so her current position is a perfect fit. What she likes best about her job is seeing the process to the end, knowing she did the best job possible. When not working, she loves decorating her home on a budget, reading and gardening.
W.C. is currently our longest consecutively employed employee. He began working for Lakeland Mills in 1977. He has worked in most departments, and is always willing to work anywhere in the factory. He likes having a variety of things to do and working with different people. He especially likes spending time with his wife, doing word search and number puzzles.
Bob came to Lakeland Mills as a general laborer in 1985. He worked his way up to Plant Manager. In 1991 he, Calvin Hunt and another employee, purchased the company. He is now the Co-Owner of Lakeland Mills. He enjoys the times he is able to work directly with the employees. On a personal note, when not working, Bob is the front man for a Christian music group,Something Else.
Connie has been with us since 1995, and is willing to work in any department or at any task we ask her to perform. Her positive attitude and ready smile makes everyone’s day brighter. She enjoys making log furniture and would love to have her entire house filled with it. She likes to do home improvements, and loves spending time with her three boys and helping others.
Don joined the Lakeland Mills team in 1998 on second shift. He was quickly promoted to assembly supervisor, when he moved to the day shift he worked as material handler, and on to supervisor of finishing. He takes pride in making our furniture look it's better. When not working he enjoys spending time with his wife, five children and soon to be 12 grandchildren, as well as restoring his 125 year old farmhouse.
Tom began working for Lakeland Mills in 1997. Today, he is one of our set-up technicians, and his attention to detail is impeccable. Tom’s a big reader, he loves books. He starts his day reading in the break room in the morning before work and at lunch. When he gets home from work, he reads more. One of Tom’s other big interests is participating in local tractor pull competitions.
Phil joined our team after serving for 22 years in the U.S. Navy. Since coming to work here in 1997, he has performed many duties and obtained many skills. Phil considers himself to be a jack-of-all-trades and a master of some! His favorite thing about working here is the variety of projects he is given, and the people he works with. Off the job, Phil is the Commander of the Local Amets Post.
When Teresa applied to work in the office in 1984, the only position available was working in production. She took that position, but within a few weeks was moved to the office where she remains today. When not working at Lakeland Mills, she loves spending time with Calvin and her favorite son Jason as well as her hobbies of making cards and homemade soaps.
Lidiya emigrated from the Ukraine in 1999, and joined our team at Lakeland Mills in 2000. She is extremely dedicated to her work. She works in assembly, milling, and trellis departments. When not at work, she enjoys cooking. Employees look forward to employee potlucks to see what yummy pastry Lidiya will bring! Her favorite thing to do after hours is spending time with her husband and children.
Calvin grew up with Lakeland Mills. His father was a supervisor in the old redwood department. He started as a general laborer in 1981, and soon became a supervisor. In 1991, he, Bob Jenson and another employee, purchased the company. Calvin is now the Co-Owner of Lakeland Mills. Calvin truly enjoys working with customers, and in his time off, he loves spending time with Teresa.
Ben joined us in 1995 on our second shift, and transferred to days when a position became available. He moved to third shift when offered a supervisor position, and now has switched back to days as our set-up technician. Ben has many other duties and is willing to do most jobs here at Lakeland Mills. He enjoys fishing, golf and spending time with his family when he isn’t working.
Josh is a third generation employee. He was still in high school when he began working at Lakeland Mills in 1996, as a means of helping to pay his Christian school tuition. After graduating, he became our receptionist, and also fills the role of Supervisor of Specialty Projects. He is one of the voices you hear when calling Lakeland Mills. After work, Josh enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and cat.
Keith's father was a supervisor here, making him a second generation employee. He began as a student in 1966 to help pay his school tuition. After school, Keith moved away from the area, but returned to work at Lakeland Mills in 1984. He has held a variety of positions here including: maintenance, safety, and quality control. He's also a volunteer firefighter, and an EMT for our local ambulance service.
Jim started out in our Cedar Log Department in late 1989. He moved into a supervisory position, and remained in that role until 2005; his next and current position is as our purchasing agent. Jim appreciates his job here, and the personal commitment of the owners and co-workers at Lakeland Mills. In his leisure time, Jim enjoys playing a variety of instruments, including the guitar, banjo, mandolin, and violin.
Cory started as a temporary employee in 2010. His great work ethic and attention to detail soon earned him a trial spot in our Finishing Department. It wasn’t long before he was offered full-time employment due to his excellent work at finishing our products today. He is also a second generation employee here. In his time off, depending on the weather, Cory likes to snowboard and skateboard.
Dana joined us in 1995, and now can’t imagine working anywhere else. We’re like a big family. She has worked in many areas over the years, today she runs our outlet store and is lead packer. She likes everything about her job, the challenges, the sense of accomplishment, and takes great pride in our products. Off the clock, she enjoys reading, flower gardening and spending time with family, especially her granddaughter.
Jennie is a third generation employee, both her grandfather and mother worked here. She enjoys her job as our customer service representative, and particularly likes talking to people from all over the world. Jennie has been with Lakeland Mills a total of 16 years. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her family, playing games, gardening and anything creative.
Starting at Lakeland Mills in 1991, Debbie is a co-owner and our production manager. One special thing that employees appreciate about Debbie is that she makes cookies for everyone’s birthday! When she not working, she enjoys spending time with Bob and their children. She also enjoys ladies’ day out with others from church, scrapbooking and collects Christmas ornaments from their vacation travels.
